As a father of two daughters, this bond resonates deeply with me. Writing this scene was an emotional experience — I closed my eyes, stepped into Lauren's father's shoes, and felt every ounce of his sorrow, disbelief, and hope. The words flowed exactly as I saw and felt them, and by the end, I was emotionally drained, as if I had lived through it myself.
